The Simpsons is officially coming to Fortnite!

After months of rumors, The Simpsons was officially confirmed to be coming to Fortnite, with a teaser for a live event starting on November 1, 2025 at 15:00 GMT. It was confirmed via a tweet from the official The Simpsons account.

Teasers started a few days earlier, on October 24, 2025 when a cel-shaded tree started growing, which later turned into Bart’s treehouse on October 26. Inside the treehouse was a Simpsons-style television with the technical difficulties screen from “Treehouse of Horror VI“. Kang and Kodos also had a small chance to appear before a match started. Other teasers feature El Barto-vandalized artwork and logos.

After 12 years, on September 26, 2024, it was officially confirmed by EA that the “The Simpsons: Tapped Out” game would be ending in January 2025. It was revealed with an in-game message with the 252nd and final update of the game, the Taps content update.

As of this last update, in-app purchases have been disabled. The game will be found in app stores until October 31, 2024. Then, it will still be playable until January 24, 2025. Then the servers will be shutting down and the game won’t be accessible anymore. During the months previous to the shutdown, all previous game content will be made available in waves.

Tapped Out started on February 2012. The game centered around each player building its very own version of the town of Springfield, setting buildings and unlocking characters from the show. During 12 years, the game has delivered more than 250 content updates, more than 700 characters and more than 1000 questlines.

Lego Dimensions features collectible real life sets that can be used in the game to get new content, including characters, vehicles and levels. Each set has to be bought separately from the base game, which has some content in already.

The three sets include one level pack and two fun packs. The level pack includes Homer Simpson and the two fun packs have Bart Simpson and Krusty the Clown.

The Simpsons will have a level in the starter pack where Lord Business from The Lego Movie teams up with The Joker from DC Comics to take over Springfield. No The Simpsons characters are playable in this level without the expansion sets.

It is unconfirmed at the moment whether any more The Simpsons sets will be released but a character list that had blurred characters has one blur resembling Maggie Simpson. So it is possible that she will become playable in a later set.
