Season 37 News: A new episode title, “The Kosmic Kruiser”, and the air date of “Treehouse of Horror XXXVI”, have been announced!

Season_37_posterThe title of the 11th episode of the 37th production season, “The Kosmic Kruiser“, has been announced.

The title was revealed in an Instagram post by John Sharkman who attended the table read of the episode.

The EIDR also revealed the air date for the annual “Treehouse of Horror XXXVI“, airing October 19, 2025 as the 4th episode of Season 37.

Season 37 News: New info on upcoming episode “Yellow Mirror” have been announced!

Season 37 PosterIn a podcast, Carolyn and Kai Omine shared new info on the upcoming episode “Yellow Mirror“.

The episode will be a Disney+ Exclusive.

It will have elements from Black Mirror, but won’t be a Black Mirror episode, closer to The Twilight Zone.

They described the episode as weird, with horror elements, not in the style of Treehouse of Horror, but a trippy and unsettling vibe, something original.

It’ll have two segments, originally planned as three but scrapped, giving more room for the two episodes after more ideas come to mind.

Guest stars include Patti Harrison and Demi Moore as cameos. Any similarities between them is coincidental and not related to the plot.

The episode will be of collaborative nature between the two, blending their ideas, with Matt Selman as showrunner.

No air date is confirmed yet, but probably air in 2026.

They confirmed there’ll be lots of music.

The new information comes from FoxFlash:

In the season premiere, airing September 28, Lisa discovers Marge‘s vintage clothes from the 90’s and is welcomed into the school’s elite fashion club. But to feed their hunger for retro looks, the thrifters break the law — becoming a fashionista bling ring. Meanwhile, Homer gets addicted to a Reacher-type Dad TV show with lots of punching.

In “Keep Chalm and Gary On“, a disgraced Superintendent Chalmers creates a line of skin care for men.

In “Treehouse of Horror XXXVI“, more detailed information on the segments have been revealed:

Chubbo and the Stinker will be the first segment and is a parody of Jaws and The Blob, set in the 1970s Springfield, where two characters get killed off when a monster created from sentient lard, named the “fatburg”, takes over Springfield, feeding on human fat. First, Chief Wiggum is killed, but the big death is Bart Simpson, who, it’s revealed, is drained of all his lard and dies.

An untitled segment features a giant hat on a catapult, an hatapult, due to a character only knowing how to hit things with hats.

In another untitled segment, Krusty makes a deal with the devil on his live Halloween special.

In another untitled segment, in a poseable plastic post-apocalyptic future, Bart and Lisa fight for the future of humanity.

In “Bart and Frink“, Bart and Professor Frink travel to an island of billionaire body-hackers.

It was revealed in a separate conversation that Albert Brooks will guest star in “Men Behaving Manly“.

The clip will be featured in a segment called Chubbo and the Stinker, it’ll be the first segment of the episode, and a parody of Jaws and The Blob.
