The Simpsons Movie 2 posterAfter years of rumors and speculation, The Simpsons Movie 2 has finally been confirmed by 20th Century Studios. The movie will release on July 23, 2027 in theaters.

The plot for “¡The Fall Guy-Yi-Yi!” has also been announced. In an interview with AnimationWorldNetwork, Cesar Mazariegos and Jessica Conrad revealed that Homer becomes Bumblebee Man‘s stunt double. The episode will air in December 2025.

Thanks to ScreenRant, we’ve information on what appeared in the clip.

The clip will be featured in a segment called Chubbo and the Stinker, it’ll be the first segment of the episode, and a parody of Jaws and The Blob. In it, two characters will be killed off when a monster created from sentient lard, named the “fatburg”, takes over Springfield. First, Chief Wiggum is killed, but the big death is Bart Simpson, who, it’s revealed, is drained of all his lard and dies.
