This post serves as a summary on all we know on future episodes of Season 36 and beyond so far. We’ll update it costantly as more news come.

This is the twelth episode and it will air on December 22.
The new and improved Pin Pals travel to Capital City for their first ever state bowling championship.
The episode was written and showran by Al Jean and directed by Steven Dean Moore.
It guest stars Glenn Close as Mona Simpson.

“Bottle Episode“ (36ABF04)
This is the thirteenth episode and it will air on December 29.
Marge and Smithers team up to become wine-forging Robin Hoods.
The episode was written by Rob LaZebnik and Johnny LaZebnik. It was showran by Matt Selman and Rob LaZebnik and it was written by Rob LaZebnik and Johnny LaZebnik.
It guest stars Robert Parker as himself.
Unscheduled Episodes:
“The Past and the Furious” (35ABF19)
It’s the second episode to be released exclusively on Disney+.
It’ll be a time travel adventure; where it’s a little more future, genre experimental.
The episode was written and co-showran by Rob LaZebnik.
“Yellow Planet” (35ABF20)
It’s the third and final episode to be released exclusively on Disney+.
Nature documentary style episode, ala The Blue Planet and National Geographic, in which the characters are adorable, screwed up, animals.
The episode will be the last to have Pamela Hayden in the cast, as for her retirement, however the last episode she recorded was “O C’mon All Ye Faithful“.
The episode was written by J. Stewart Burns and directed by Timothy Bailey. It’s showran by Matt Selman, Al Jean, Tim Long and Brian Kelley.
“The Last Man Expanding” (36ABF06)
It’ll be Comic Book Guy episode.
The episode was written by J. Stewart Burns and directed by Timothy Bailey. It was showran by Al Jean.
“P.S., I Hate You” (36ABF07)
The episode was written and co-showran by Cesar Mazariegos. It was directed by Michael Polcino.
“Abe League of Their Moe” (36ABF08)
A Baseball themed episode with a parody of Shōhei Ōtani and his Picadillos gambling scandal. Hank Azaria says it’s a “good Moe show”.
The episode was written by Joel H. Cohen and directed by Rob Oliver. It was co-showran by Michael Price.
“Estranger Things” (36ABF11)
Nothing is known about this episode.
“Men Behaving Manly” (36ABF12)
It was written by John Frink and direcfted by Steven Dean Moore. It was showran by Al Jean.
“Keep Chalm and Gary On” (36ABF14)
The episode was written by Christine Nangle and co-showran by Rob LaZebnik.
“Bad Boys… for Life?” (36ABF17)
The episode was written and showran by Al Jean.
Unscheduled Episodes without Production Code:
Possible production codes are 36ABF04 and 36ABF05.
Originally “The Beautiful Shame” had the production code 35ABF08. However, in January of 2024 “The Yellow Lotus” script was read with this code, while “The Beautiful Shame” was postponed.
It will air on 2024.
“Marge and Homer and Moe and Maya“
Possible production codes are 36ABF04 and 36ABF05.
The episode was written and showran by Al Jean.
Work on the episode began before the 2023 WGA and the SAG-AFTRA strikes.

Disney+ Shorts:
Shorts have been released on Disney+ in the last few years during seasons and Season 36 is not an exception. Only one has aired so far.
“The Most Wonderful Time of the Year“
It was released on October 11, 2024.
“Sideshow Bob teams up with the most infamous villains of Disney+ to share the true meaning for the Halloween season. Filled with music, mayhem, and madness, this short from The Simpsons is simply to die for.”
It’s written by Al Jean, Broti Gupta, J. Stewart Burns and Dan Greaney and directed by David Silverman. It was showran by Al Jean.
It guest stars Kelsey Grammer.
Upcoming plots:
In one episode, Marge‘s self-image in the town that everyone thinks she’s a good person is at stake when Homer and Marge have to respond to a kidnapping and extortion situation. The kidnappers have not yet been decided on, but they’re thinking of Jimbo and Shauna.
One episode will reference the court room scene from the film Anatomy of a Fall.
One idea Al Jean has is Willie posing on OnlyFans.
Michael Price is co-writing an episode that started as Homer being like Ned Merrill, but going home by invading people’s backyard barbecues. It still has a slight Cheever-ish aspect to it but they lost the BBQs.

Production Season 36 is 22 episodes long.
There are not plans of another cannon halloween episodes for now.
Matt Selman wants to do a Bluey couch gag in response to the Bluey opening parody.
Jessica Conrad has several episodes written.
Guest stars:
In Al Jean episodes Sidse Babett Knudsen will guest star.
John DiMaggio will guest star as an original character.
Season 37:
“Treehouse of Horror XXXVI” (36ABF15)
The episode was written and showran by Michael Price, written by Michael Price, Broti Gupta and Dan Greaney, and directed by Matthew Faughnan.
It will air on Fall 2025.
