Bart Simpson #97 is the latest comic in the Bart Simpson comics series.

College nerds Doug, Gary, and Benjamin have developed a new app, but it’s going to take the marketing savvy of one Bart Simpson to make them all multi-millionaires. And Bart is needed once again when he’s is recruited – well, kidnapped – by Kang and Kodos to help counter an attack on Rigel 7. When microcosmic and macrocosmic forces convene, it’s up to the boy with the name on the comic to answer the call.

Simpsons Comics Colossal Compendium: Volume Three is the third compilation book in the Simpsons Comics Colossal Compendium series.

Start off with a little ring-a-ding-ding from the new “King of Cool” Professor Frink, some harmless daydreaming from Bart’s pal Milhouse, some bedtime nursery rhyming with Maggie Simpson, and a bit of back-in-the-day, nostalgic reminiscing from Mr. Burns. Even a tyke-sized Homer tries his hand at some magical wishing, and Ralph Wiggum does a little role modeling. Then, Sideshow Bob goes slumming to exact his revenge, Bart sets about reinvigorating his favorite superhero comic magazine, and Homer thinks he’s seeing double when he discovers a another brother from yet another mother.

Simpsons Comics #222 is the latest comic in the Simpsons Comics series.

After being embarrassed and rejected by Bart, Homer takes an impressionable Ralph Wiggum under his wing. But it doesn’t take long before Bart gets jealous and wants back in on the father/son/extra son relationship. Meanwhile, Lisa has problems of her own when she is responsible for disappearance the class hamster, only to discover a Lost World of long gone schoolroom pets in the deep recesses of Springfield Elementary…a New Hamsterdam, if you will.

Harry Shearer leaving The Simpsons


After the TABF-production Harry Shearer will not be part of the main cast in The Simpsons. He has voiced many characters over the years, including Kent Brockman, Mr. Burns, Ned Flanders, Julius Hibbert, Kang, Lenny Leonard, Timothy Lovejoy, Otto Mann, Seymour Skinner, Waylon Smithers and Rainier Wolfcastle. He has been part of the cast since the first episode was aired in 1989. He is leaving the series because he wants the freedom to do other work. In the last four years, he starred in a UK TV series and starred on the London stage. Shearer has, however, said that he will be willing to continue working on the show as long as he can do other stuff too.

Al Jean has stated on Twitter that if Harry Shearer does not return, his characters will be recast.
