This is the seventh episode and it will air on November 24.

“A tattooed man at a mysterious night circus transports Lisa into three strange stories from the innocent 1950s, the chilling retro-present, and a brutalist future where prestige TV rules the world.”

It’s based on Ray Bradbury‘s short stories.

The episode’s framing device is based on his book The Illustrated Man and the segments will be based on “The Screaming Woman”, “Marionettes, Inc.” and “Fahrenheit 451“.

The episode was written by Jessica Conrad. It was showran by Matt Selman and Brian Kelley.

It guest stars Andy Serkis as Illustrated Man/Siegfried Blaze.

Originally “The Beautiful Shame” had the production code 35ABF08. However, in January of 2024 “The Yellow Lotus” script was read with this code, while “The Beautiful Shame” was postponed.

It will air on 2024.

Marge and Homer and Moe and Maya

Possible production codes are 36ABF01/36ABF03/36ABF04/36ABF05.

The episode was written and showran by Al Jean.

Work on the episode began before the 2023 WGA and the SAG-AFTRA strikes.

Abe League of Their Moe

A Baseball themed episode with a parody of Shōhei Ōtani and his Picadillos gambling scandal. Hank Azaria says it’s a “good Moe show”.

The episode was written by Joel H. Cohen and co-showran by Michael Price.

Disney+ Specials:

A set of three Disney+ exclusive specials will release starting December 17, 2024 and will continue during 2025.

The episode order is split between the normal episodes and the specials.

O C’mon All Ye Faithful” (35ABF21 and 35ABF22)

It’ll release on December 17, 2024.

In this Disney+ exclusive double-episode, the residents of Springfield search for Christmas cheer.

It’s a double-sized Christmas themed, sweet, emotional, funny episode.

The episode was showran by Matt Selman, written and co-showran by Carolyn Omine and directed by Debbie Mahan and Matthew Faughnan.

In one scene, Derren Brown attempts to hypnotize Homer Simpson to boost his spirits, but this inevitably ends up with Homer thinking he’s a certain “sparkly elf”. Professor Frink has a big emotional scene.

It guest stars Derren Brown as himself, Pentatonix as themselves, and Patti LaBelle as herself.

The episode was the last Pamela Hayden recorded, as for her retirement, however the last episode to feature her will be “Yellow Planet“.

The Past and the Furious” (35ABF19)

The episode was written and co-showran by Rob LaZebnik.

Yellow Planet” (35ABF20)

Nature documentary style episode in which the characters are animals.

The episode will be the last to have Pamela Hayden in the cast, as for her retirement, however the last episode she recorded was “O C’mon All Ye Faithful“.

The episode was written by J. Stewart Burns.


Disney+ Shorts:

Shorts have been released on Disney+ in the last few years during seasons and Season 36 is not an exception. Only one has aired so far.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

It was released on October 11, 2024.

Sideshow Bob teams up with the most infamous villains of Disney+ to share the true meaning for the Halloween season. Filled with music, mayhem, and madness, this short from The Simpsons is simply to die for.

It’s written by Al Jean, Broti Gupta, J. Stewart Burns and Dan Greaney and directed by David Silverman. It was showran by Al Jean.

It guest stars Kelsey Grammer.


Specials:

Funday Football

It will be live, streaming on Disney+ and ESPN+, on December 9, 2024.

It’ll be a football faceoff, Bart and the Cincinnati Bengals vs Homer and the Dallas Cowboys, live from Springfield. Homer and Bart will be the hosts and sometimes play on the field while Marge and Lisa will interview players during the game.


Upcoming plots:

The first several episodes are detours through sci-fi and horror.

In one episode, Marge‘s self-image in the town that everyone thinks she’s a good person is at stake when Homer and Marge have to respond to a kidnapping and extortion situation. The kidnappers have not yet been decided on, but they’re thinking of Jimbo and Shauna.

One episode in the first half of the season will be dedicated to Ned Flanders reflecting on the deaths of Maude Flanders and Edna Krabappel, because it’s “never too late to emotionally address a past trauma”.

One episode will reference the court room scene from the film Anatomy of a Fall.

One idea Al Jean has is Willie posing on OnlyFans.

There are not plans of another cannon halloween episodes for now.

Matt Selman wants to do a Bluey couch gag in response to the Bluey opening parody.

Al Jean will show run 36ABF17.

Jessica Conrad has several episodes written.

Treehouse of Horror XXXVI” (36ABF15)

Season 36 News: New information on the season have been announced at the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con Panel!

200px-Season_35_artworkNew information on Season 36 have been announced on the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con Panel.

The first piece of information comes for the 7th episode, “Treehouse of Horror Presents: Simpsons Wicked This Way Comes“, which is based on Ray Bradbury‘s short stories.

The next set are for the 5th episode, “Treehouse of Horror XXXV“, where the opening sequence was made by Jorge R. Gutierrez, Denim is animated by Seth Green and John Harvatine IV, and they recorded the scream from the audience to use in the episode.

The final one has a surprise for the season premiere, “Bart’s Birthday“, where Conan O’Brien (as himself), John Cena, Tom Hanks and several Major League Baseball players join the cast as special guests!

From an article on Variety, some other information were revealed:

Danny DeVito will guest star in “Bart’s Birthday” too.

One of the “Treehouse of Horror XXXV” segments (reported previously as “Giant monsters created by political rage threaten to tear the town apart”) looks at how divided our country is — in this case, literal red versus blue monsters in a “kind of ‘Pacific Rim’ style pool”.

The episode from which one of the first episodes will be a sequel of sorts to, reported previously by CNN, is confirmed to be “22 Short Films About Springfield“.

In an unknown episode, possibly “Shoddy Heat“, Grampa reveals his secret past as a 1980s-era private detective.

In “Treehouse of Horror XXXV“, giant monsters created by political rage threaten to tear the town apart, a Victorian Mr. Burns is jump-scared on Thanksgiving by the ghosts of his abused workers, and Homer bonds with a pair of extra-terrestrial jeans in an unforgettable stop-motion adventure that can only be called… Denim.

In the bonus fright-fest, “Treehouse of Horror Presents: Simpsons Wicked This Way Comes“, a tattooed man at a mysterious night circus transports Lisa into three strange stories from the innocent 1950s, the chilling retro-present, and a brutalist future where prestige TV rules the world.

Treehouse of Horror XXXV” was announced to be the thirteenth episode, while “Ladies Night” is the seventeenth.

Season 35 and 36 News: New information on “Bart’s Brain” and the first half of Season 36 have been released!

200px-Season_35_artworkNew information for the upcoming 18th and final episode of Season 35, titled “Bart’s Brain” (airing tonight), and the first half of Season 36 have been released on an interview on CNN.

In Bart’s Brain, Bart bonds with a brain in a jar, and will feel like classic Simpsons episode, with emotional heft and Bart hijinx.

The first several episodes of the new seasons are detours through sci-fi and horror.

One of the first episodes will be a sequel of sorts to one of the following episodes cited in the article: 22 Short Films About Springfield, ‘Round Springfield, Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire, Lisa the Boy Scout, The Sound of Bleeding Gums.
