Crossword constructor and The Simpsons guest star Merl Reagle has died, aged 65.

Reagle guest starred as himself in the season 20 episode “Homer and Lisa Exchange Cross Words“. He also constructed all the crossword puzzles used in the episode.

Reagle died yesterday, on August 22nd, after being hospitalized with acute pancreatitis.
