A documentary on “Homer at the Bat” was announced to air this Sunday.

This Sunday, Fox will air an hour long comedic documentary, titled “Springfield of Dreams: The Legend of Homer Simpson“. It’ll pay tribute to the episode, with interviews with baseball stars who appeared as special guests, plus Yankees All-Star Aaron Judge, Nick Offerman, Russell Brand, George Will, Tim Gunn, Dr. Oz, Bob Costas, Joe Buck, Bob Uecker, and Charissa Thompson. It’ll also feature “interviews” with Homer, Moe, Chief Wiggum, Apu, and Comic Book Guy.
The special will be directed by Morgan Spurlock. It will air on Sunday before or after the afternoon games, approximately at 3 p.m. ET (for markets with an NFL game at 4:05 p.m. ET) and at 4:30 p.m. ET (for markets with an NFL game at 1 p.m. ET). The same night, FOX will air the next episode on Season 29, the 28th annual Halloween special, “Treehouse of Horror XXVIII“.
