Happy New Year!

71WmWBzUzCL._SL1000_Hello everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR from the team of WikiSimpsons and The Springfield Shopper!

2025 has just started, and we’ll see some stuff blooming and some unfortunately whitering.

2025 will start for the Simpsons with a sad departure, as The Simpsons: Tapped Out is ending its journey on January 24th, when the servers will shut down.

But the year will open up with more possibilities for the show itself, as two more specials will be released this year on Disney+: “The Past and the Furious” and “Yellow Planet“.

The show will be back on March, with the second half of the season, with episodes among this selection of titles: “The Last Man Expanding“, “P.S., I Hate You“, “Abe League of Their Moe“, Estranger Things“, “Men Behaving Manly“, “Keep Chalm and Gary On“, “The Beautiful Shame” and “Marge and Homer and Moe and Maya“.

More scripts will be presented and written, with table reads from 36ABF19 to 36ABF22 happening in the first two months, before going forward to the 37th production season.

We’re all expecting renewal for season 37 happening too, and then the season starting in fall, with two episodes already announced, “Treehouse of Horror XXXVI” and “Bad Boys… for Life?“, along with the episodes from the 36th production season that won’t be released in season 36.

Among the upcoming special guest stars, Sidse Babett Knudsen and John DiMaggio have already been announced.

We hope to see announcements for a new game announced this year, after EA’s contract apparently having expired, that lead to the closure of Tapped Out. And also new shorts and specials to keep us busy in between the episodes.

Could new comics series or omnibuses be presented? What surprises have the production team prepared for us? Let’s find out together!

Happy New Year everybody and we’ll see you both in the SimpsonsWiki and here, on The Springfield Shopper, very soon!
