Today is July 23, 2016.
In San Diego [California, USA] this week takes place the “San Diego Comic-Con International” of 2016. And, as always, The Simpsons panel has taken place in noon-12:45 p.m. in Ballroom 20.
The Simpsons is heading into its 600th episode. Creator Matt Groening, executive producers Al Jean and Matt Selman, supervising director Mike B. Anderson, Oscar-nominated director of The Simpsons Movie David Silverman, and voice of Bart Simpson Nancy Cartwright offer some juicy tidbits on the 28th season and beyond!
The San Diego Comic-Con 2016 has started and today will take place most of the panels of FOX’s shows, including The Simpsons. The panel will take place between 12pm and 12.45pm (San Diego time).
We’ll try to do what we did last year: a live-report of the panel. What we’ll do for sure is a post with the highlights of the panel after the event. If the live-report of the panel happens, it will consist on us creating a post at the start of the panel (or a couple of minutes before) and we’ll update it constantly; so to follow it live, just ‘refresh’ the page every minute.
What you need to know before the panel: here!

The Simpsons is nominated for outstanding animated program at the Emmy Awards 2016!
The cerimony will air on September 18, 2016, just one week before the Season 28 premiere of the show, Monty Burns’ Fleeing Circus.
American actor and Simpsons guest star Garry Marshall died yesterday, July 19th, from complications of pneumonia after suffering a stroke.
Marshall, who guest starred on two separate occasions, as Larry Kidkill in the season 11 episode “Eight Misbehavin’” and Sheldon Leavitt in the season 22 episode “Homer the Father“. He was also the brother of actress Penny Marshall, who has also guest starred on the show.
EA is having some trouble, as the Origin server is down, and people can’t login in the game.
Meanwhile Homer is playing Pokémon GO in this modified scene from Labor Pains, an episode in the Season 25 of the show, a clip just posted by Animation on Fox.
Due to Pokémon GO’s recent problems today with a hacker group making it go offline, its possible this issue on Tapped Out could be linked to that as the hacker groups said something about more coming on their twitter. Don’t worry about your accounts, they’re safe and the game will resume as soon as this is resolved.
The San Diego Comic-Con is back in July 2016! The ‘Simpsons’ panel will take place on July 23 at 12:00pm – 12:45pm (San Diego Timezone, which is GMT-8:00). Our intention is to do the same we did last year: we’ll try to do a live-report of the panel.

The 600th episode of The Simpsons will air on October 16, 2016. Airing on that day it couldn’t be other than “Treehouse of Horror XXVII“, the 27th installment of the Treehouse of Horror series and the 4th episode of Season 28. The poster of the episode has also been revealed.
“We’re excited because it really is the 600th episode. It’s not one of those cheats where it’s really 602,” executive producer Al Jean jokes, referring to previous milestone celebrations that didn’t quite match the exact episodic number.
The Treehouse episode opens with a short segment in which Simpson foes, including Sideshow Bob, try to kill the beloved Springfield family.
The three main segments include a satire of dystopian movies in which evil Mr. Burns controls the only water in a Springfield gone dry; a story in which an imaginary friend (Sarah Silverman) from Lisa’s younger days returns to kill her real friends; and a James Bond-themed segment with accents of Kingsman: The Secret Service that features bartender Moe running a secret society that tries to keep order in the world. Uh-oh!
A Bond-like anthem, performed by singer Judith Owen (wife of Simpsons stalwart Harry Shearer), closes the episode, celebrating the episodic feat.
Showrunner Al Jean says that the annual THOH episode is always very special.
“It’s a big show people look forward to,” he says. “Even though it’s (number) 600, it’s still exciting for me. I never feel like this is an old show. I feel that if this was a show that started last year, people would be excited about everything that’s going on.”
